Meditation, The Peaceful Path

I have practiced meditation for over 25 years, and it continues to bring me many benefits. It provides a place of silence, a sanctuary, where I experience a deep sense of peace as I have learned to use this space as a place to surrender my fears and anxieties to the Universe, God/Goddess, the Creator or whatever I call my connection to the Divine in that moment. I begin to feel a unity with Spirit and receive a feeling of love and support through the images I see during my meditations and through a deep knowing that I am somehow connected and part of some wondrous loving source that assists me to greater knowing of my Self.
Meditation is a way of life for me now. I tap into my inner source if I'm having difficulties during the day. I always hear my inner voice saying, "All is well". As I accept these words, my outer world begins to improve and calm. My outer world begins to reflect my inner sense of peace. Meditation does not remove my life challenges and lessons, but gives me a place to reflect, release, embrace the loving essence and then move on. For me, it's a "time out" from the seeming chaos and provides me with another view, a place of peace and beauty. This is my true being and essence that I'm learning to remember and know.
Meditation and prayer returns me to a place of inner freedom, to a place of the heart. From this place, I can be clear about my responses to my life problems or situations. In this manner I can create a life based on love rather than fears. My fears separate me from my Divine source. So it is important for me to release and clear my fears by surrendering them, turning them over to God/Goddess to assist my healing and to enhance my understanding and knowing. Then I receive the benefits of meditation - reducing stress, lowering my blood pressure, enhancing my spiritual growth and inner peace and providing clarity of my intentions and desires. I haven't found anything else that works as well as meditation.
As you move more deeply into your discovery and remembrance of your true Self, your life will become enriched with love and happiness. By developing daily meditative practices you will be able to view life in a positive, well-balanced manner.
