Creative Peacemaking

Many of you may remember the "Peace Pilgrim" who walked back and forth across the US and Canada too from
1953-1981. My friend Nancy recently gave me a copy of an old book that contains the writings that the Peace
Pilgrim recorded on her walking journeys. She awakened and inspired many thousands during her twenty-eight year
pilgrimage for peace. She carried the message of peace so simply "When enough of us find inner peace, our
institutions will become more peaceful and there will be no more occasions for war". She was a person who
lived her words.
During the month of April, I am offering a four-week program, The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking. It will be a
spiritual 30-day experience of peacemaking where you will receive daily inspirational thoughts or affirmations from
my writings and collections. I've always thought of meditation as an art form as images form during my meditations.
Becoming a Spiritual Peacemaker is also a creative process that opens our hearts and creates new perceptions and
transforms our lives. The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking holds the keys to taking steps for inner peace. Inner peace
is the most powerful place of all- a place of love, peace and freedom.
On September 11, 1906, that Mahatma K. Gandhi launched the first nonviolent campaign against racial oppression in
Johannesburg, South Africa, and later he said, "There is no way to peace, Peace is the way."
Becoming a Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking has been a journey of great self-reflections, changes and challenges.
There were many times that I did not feel peaceful as my life was filled with change. It takes courage to become an
Observer of Self and to begin to see each person as a Beloved, both important steps on the inner pathway of peace.
Most of all, I had to see myself as a Beloved. Then, the artistic face of peace truly presented itself to me.
I look forward to you joining me for The Art of Spiritual Peacemaking, Tuesday evenings, beginning April 3 to April 24.

The Cloth of Peace
